Facebook asserts connecting 250 million users
CEO Mark Zuckerberg of the most popular social network site on web, Facebook, announced today that the social networking site has now 250 million users connecting throughout the world. With tremendous competition growing through other sites (e.g. Twitter), Facebook continues to perform excellent with some 126 million hits in June 2009, way ahead than other competing social networks. Between April of this year and today, Facebook gained 50 million users worldwide. The following is an excerpt from Mark’s blog –
As of today, 250 million people are using Facebook to stay updated on what’s happening around them and share with the people in their lives. The rapid pace of our growth is humbling and exciting for us, and it affirms that people everywhere are realizing the power of staying connected to everything they care about on Facebook.
