  • RE: HardwareandSoftwareInventoryProcess
Is there a way to verify the actual process if it's a svchost or I thought it
was a wmiprvse.exe? My antivirus admin wants to know and I'm unsure on why so
if I could get the process that would be great!

  • RE: HardwareandSoftwareInventoryProcess
I don't believe either one launches an actual .exe that you'd see in Task
    Manager. I believe it's a svchost process for both--but I could be wrong. I
haven't actually looked at the details in a while...
Are you observing heightened AV activity during HW or SW inventory?

  • HardwareandSoftwareInventoryProcess
Does anyone know the individual processes on xp workstation that is used for
the hardware and software inventory scans? We are looking at excluding them
in the antivirus program so I would like to know.

  • SMS 2003 DMFP Full SINV
I have a direct network connected Pocket PC 2003 device that is sporadically
sending software inventory. The SMS 2003 site server is SP2. For test
purposes the SINV schedule for the Device Client Agent is set to 20 minutes
yet I have not received SINV inventory from this device for over 16 hours. I

  • SMS 2003 Hardware Inventory on Compressed Drive
Recently I've been troubleshooting a particular server not reporting a full
hardware inventory. Come to find out the servers Windows 2003 Server OS
partition, Drive C:\ was compressed. I know Software Inventory can be set to
either include or exclude compressed files, but there is nothing about

  • Not in Add/remove programs
    Hi
I would like to make a query that lists all the PC's in a collection, that
does not have Trend Micro installed.
How can I do that ?
If I try to make a query that lists all the PC's where add/remove display
name is not like Trend Micro% it just lists all PC's - because all PC's have
    some other programs installed.

  • Re: inventory on w2003 - x64 edition - sql2005 64bit
Ok, from memory, which is jetlagged, an starting to wear out. But I
believe 64-bit applications are registered in a different registry key
than 32 bit applications. Sms 2003 collects add/remove programs from the
32 bit key only by default IIRC. We are not that advanced over here in
Europe, so I don't have a 64 bit server to verify my ramblings.
