  • Re: CMS and SQL Server Login
Yes... I used mixed mode all the time.. you may need to "play" with the
premissions to ensure that you application will still work but there is
nothign stop you from have SQL in mixed mode.

  • CMS and SQL Server Login
    Hey all,
First time being able to use the TechNet newsgroups. :) We are currently
looking to upgrade SMS 2003 to Configuration Manager Server. For the upgrade,
it advised us that we need to turn off SQL Authentication and have it be
Windows Only. Our problem is that we have a 3rd party application that hard

  • No WSUS Webpage
OK, I had never checked before (which I realize I probably should
have) but our WSUS website is not working. It seems i have all the
virtual directories in IIS. WSUS is working just great with SCCM
(they are on the same server) but when I got to [link] I
get the under-construction page. I did go back through the WSUS

  • Re: missing cpu speed and memory
Strong possibility: The way memory was reported changed from SMS2003 sp2 and
earlier to SMS2003 SP3. Are the clients which are not reporting correctly
SP2 or earlier clients, and your server is SP3? Upgrade the clients to match
    to fix this reporting issue.

  • Re: missing cpu speed and memory
    thanks,
I looked at the log and searched for memory and then processor, this is what
    i found:
LOG[Unknown error encountered processing an instance of class SMS_Processor:
    80041017]LOG]!><time="14:58:52 .201+240" date="05-14-2008"
    component="InventoryAgent" context="" type="2" thread="3788"

  • Running two totally separated SMS hierarchies in the same forest (SMS2003 and ConfigMgr)
    Hi.
I would like to discuss running two totally separated SMS hierarchies in the
same forest (SMS2003 and ConfigMgr) I also want to state out that I'm not
interested in if the solution I'm thinking of is supported by PSS or not,
only honest answer if the solution can work.
From what I understand, there is an issue about locating the MP when you

  • Re: SMS 2003 SP3 - Secondary site install fails with logon failure
Did you grant the "Run as service" permission for your account?

  • Re: problem with reinstallation of SMS 2003
The address distserver.gelso.inet is the Management Point name. The client
    gets this from AD.
You should use AD users and computers to check your AD. Click View ->
Advanced features, go to System -> System Management. Check if the MP object
still points to the old address (you may need to use some tool like AD query

  • Re: missing cpu speed and memory
On the client, check inventoryagent.log under windows\system32\ccm\logs.
Search processor and memory. Check if there is anything wrong there.

  • missing cpu speed and memory
    Hi,
when i go to resource explorer to view cpu and memory, it seems roughly a
third of the clients are not showing this information, it doesn't seem to be
platform dependent ie , servers, workstations, win 2 k or xp or w2k3. is
there some place i should be checking?
    thanks,
    Scott
