Vista Service Pack 1 Not In Software Updates
Hi folks, I cannot seem to find Vista SP1 listed in Software Updates in SMS 2003. We are on SP3 of SMS. I know I can set up my own package but I'd like it to be there nonetheless. It looks like the catalog is updating. (I can find SP3 for WinXP for example.) Any ideas would be appreciated. -Craig

hi chris, if you can post the log of one machine that didnt suppress the reboot i can have a look.To be honsest though, i have never had a machine reboot unless told to so i suspect that in the parameters for that patch, a reboot condition has been met. But post the log and i'll take a look

Hi, just add the hotfixes as you would add a normal package, right click on packages, create new package , add the files as per normal,create program,run switches required in command line, distribute,create advertisement to run program on targeted collection. A hotfix can be run as a normal SMS package and job etc.

Hi diaz thanks for the response, i have looked at a number of machines and cannot find any sign of this Supress Reboot paraometer that you are talking about, could this mean that it did not pay attention to the supress reboot command, the entry that i do have is "Grace period for optional install has expires.

What we do here is create a monthly patch job each time and advertise those, its more manageable and runs quicker than if you try and keep them all in one package.Its also a lot better if you have WAN links or user's on a piece of string :) Alternatively when you are creating your "large job" remove them from the
