Wyse Technology recently announced a thin desktop device optimized for VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), based on Wyse’s thin client OS technology.

The press release stated: "Wyse is very excited that our work with VMware has already resulted in a VDI-enabled thin desktop operating system -- a tremendous new offering for our enterprise customers," said Ricardo Antuna, vice president of business line management, Wyse Technology. "In the future, by working through VMware’s Community Source program, we will incorporate into the VDI architecture innovative features, such as multi-media, USB peripheral support and new thin client devices."
