VMware has released it's latest version of Virtual Machine Importer, version 2. Virtual Machine Importer allows you to move virtual machines across test/development and production environments based on different virtualization products, or managed separately. The product is available as a free download.

VMware Virtual Machine Importer 2 cannot be installed on Windows NT 4. Please read Release Notes for more details.

VMware recommends that all target operating systems should have the latest patches available from Microsoft as of the release of this product. Installation of VMware Virtual Machine Importer 2 requires Windows Installer 3.1, which can be obtained visiting Windows Installer: Versions & Downloads
