Windows Installer Technology seems pretty juvenile demanding more explanation and assistance for today’s Administrators, Packagers, Release Engineers, Software Development Engineers and related. With very limited resources scattered everywhere on World Wide Web and literally tough to gather all infos at one place, at DevInstall, we feel that we can act as a one-spot-resource for enormous information and real-time help scenarios to many .MSI related professionals. With such a vision, this website is dedicated for such people, among the people and for the people; a good phrase to shorten long statements: “it’s your website”.

So how was it possible? As easy and realistic was the motto for the website, the harder it became to act as a lien on Web for accumulating resources to such a technology. In the summer of 2006, Megh Neupane, a dedicated Application Packager and Software Development Engineer founded this website. He has extensive experience with today’s Authoring Tools and provides consulting services for either Individuals or Companies requiring assistance with developing, packaging, re-packaging Windows Installer based Applications for enterprise wide distribution. Still active on his consulting job, he explains some of the obstacles he went at the beginning of his career and his frustration for not finding many resources or limited/scattered resources towards the technology, even today. At DevInstall, we hope to achieve such a goal of providing people with generous and best practices as much as possible for today’s changing market of Windows Installer Technology, Application Development and Administration.
