Overview
Traditionally and still today, an installer created by the InstallShield software stores the files it will install inside of InstallShield Cabinet Files. The developer can also create a basic MSI Package (only .msi will hold all the information including files and folders). If you have an old project that you need to work with OR a new project that you would like to find what's in the .cab files, you can use this tool: Unshield.
